POETZL HEADSHOT.jpg

We are a full-service architectural firm that has a rich history and focus dedicated to high-end custom residential and boutique commercial architecture.  We approach the highest level of design and service by closely working with builders, interior designers, landscape architects and engineers.  We offer a wide range of talents that are represented in designing styles ranging from cutting-edge contemporary to historically accurate.  We tailor each project around the clients’ needs and desires, while integrating climatic and site-specific ideas to create a blended harmony between the architecture and its surroundings.

Jon Poetzl founded POETZL architecture + design in early 2015 as an intimate architectural firm that prides itself in direct client integration throughout the life of the projects (i.e. the design process, construction documentation and the project management phases).  With projects ranging in a wide variety of sizes and budgets, Jon prides himself on the one-on-one service that he is dedicated in providing for his clients.

HISTORY

  • 2015 to Present: POETZL architecture + design- As owner and Licensed Architect in the State of Arizona, I have the opportunity to collaborate on some of the most spectacular projects built. I am diverse in many different design styles. I believe that the client's wants and needs are the driving force and I am there to guide and facilitate the process.

  • 2002 to 2015: Carson Poetzl, Inc.- Owner/Vice President- As one of the founders of the firm, we focused on high-end custom residential and boutique commercial architecture.

  • 1998 to 2004: George W. Christensen, Architect- Project Manager- George Christensen hired me out of Arizona State University upon graduation to work with him and a few other select employees to create a small custom residential architecture firm. With George, I was fortunate to have received extensive experience on large residential projects in the Phoenix area, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco. As my mentor, I was able to learn not just about architecture and design, but about client relations, food, wine, and world travel.

  • 1998: Arizona State University- Graduated with a BS in Architecture.
